About the Event
A cultural exhibit honoring African Heritage featuring art and artifacts from the private collection of Mildred Morgan Ball. On view from April 1 through May 21 at the Global Village Welcome Center.
The exhibit heavily celebrates the textiles of Africa featuring ankara, bogolan, and batiks among many others. It features interactive components like games and an instrument area where guests are invited to play mancala, an ancient seed collecting game, as well as play percussive instruments from all over Africa. The exhibit also features art and artifacts from various African countries and will serve as the backdrop for the African Council of Indiana's Unity: The African Unity Fest on April 23.
