Mary G. Clark, CEO
In 2005, Mary G. Clark founded the International Marketplace Coalition (IMC), formerly known as the Lafayette Square Area Coalition. Mary was elected president the same year. In December 2013, she became the second Executive Director of the IMC. Mary’s long lasting love of this community began in the late 1970s when she decided to raise her two children in the Pike Township area, and the majority of her working career was also in the area.
Carol Maxey, Administrative Assistant
After 15 years in the Life Insurance industry, in retirement Carol began volunteering with various Northwest Indianapolis community groups, including the International Marketplace Coalition. She was invited to work with Mary Clark as an Administrative Assistant over three years ago and has enjoyed the opportunity to watch it grow and meet people from different cultures.
Terri Skipper, Director of Economic Development
Terri Skipper is a seasoned economic development professional with more than 25 years experience focusing on many aspects of community revitalization. Before devoting her efforts full time to the IMC, Terri held positions with JWM Ventures (a private development firm), Wells Fargo, Freddie Mac, GMAC Mortgage and Principal Residential. Terri graduated with honors from Kentucky State University and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Maria Manalang, Program Manager
Maria R. Manalang immigrated to the United States from the Isabela, Negros Occidental (Philippines) in 1978. She spent 30 years in the health field as a respiratory therapist and sleep technician. After being involved in various non-profit organizations in Indianapolis such as the Nationalities Council of Indiana, Asian American Alliance, and Filipino-American Association of Central Indiana, to name a few, she decided to pursue her passion for the international community full-time in her role as Program Manager with the IMC.
